Connect

Fellowship

In a growing community such as ours, people are eager to make connections not only with God, but with other people as well.  Our congregation seeks to help people get to know one another by offering many opportunities to gather for fellowship.

Sunday Coffee Fellowship

Catch a cup of coffee and homemade treats as you catch up with your friends or make new friends.  Held in the Fellowship Hall, Coffee Fellowship is at 10:00 am during the program year and follows the 9:30 am worship service in the summer.

Cribbage Night

The group meets on the second Monday at the church. Players are asked to donate $2 and the group decides which charity to donate it to. Playing time starts at 7:00 pm.  All players and abilities welcome.  Come and enjoy a night of fellowship. The next game is Monday, December 9.

Book Group Meetings

Note November Meeting Date Change – The book group’s next meeting will be Tuesday, December 3 at  3:00 pm at the church to discuss Love Thy Neighbor:  A Muslim Doctor’s Struggle for Home in Rural America by Ayaz Virji. This non-fiction book describes a Muslim doctor’s service to residents of Dawson, MN and efforts to overcome our country’s climate of hostility and fear.  There are a limited number of copies; contact Suzanne Hagen (715-307-8744) if you have difficulty obtaining a copy.

January Book Group Meeting – The book group will meet Tuesday, January 28 at 3:00 pm at the church to discuss A Gentleman in Moscow   by Amor Towles (fiction).  Towles details the 30-year saga of a Russian Count, who is placed under house arrest inside the Metropol Hotel    in Moscow in 1922 for writing a subversive poem.  The author explores the question of how a person can lead an authentic life in  a time when mere survival is very challenging.  Copies will be available in the church office in early December.
