Ash Wednesday Worship Service – February 26, 6:30 pm
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lent, 40 days of preparation before hearing the good news of Jesus’ resurrection. Our worship theme this year is: “People of the Way.” During Jesus’ lifetime, followers of Jesus were not called Christians. They were identified as “people of the Way”— they lived in the way of Jesus; they were defined by their actions, not by how they believed. The measure of this way of life is “What draws us closer to God and God’s truth?”
During this Lenten season we will ponder this question during weekly Wednesday evening prayer services in the Fellowship Hall from 6:30–7:00 pm. Family meals will be served prior to the prayer services. Please make plans to come.
